To create a backup of a CD, you must first start a CD project by selecting a New CD project and pressing Next >, which shows the following screen:

To create a backup of a CD, you must first start a CD project by selecting a New CD project and pressing Next >, which shows the following screen:

For backing up a CD, the best functionality is Copy CD. Are1 form in excel format. To us it, select that option on the list and press Next >.

The fist step to back up the disc is to save an image of the disc to your computer. You can leave the default setting here and press Next >.

This screen lets you select the device where the disc you want to back up is inserted. Basic information about the device and the disc is displayed for the selected item. When you have chosen the device, press Next >.

This page displays the information about the size and type of information that is recorded on the disk that is copied. When you verify that the desired disc is recognized, you can press Next >.

Here you should select where on your computer you want the image of the disc (temporarily) stored. You can also select what kind of image you want to create (a SwiftDisc Burning Wizard specific image, or one that can be recorded by other software - .ccd), if subchannel information is to be copied from the disc, and whether to copy the first session only, or all sessions on the disc. When you are ready, pressing Next > will start the process of copying the disc to your hard drive.

When the process terminates, pressing Exit will let you close the program, and Continue will take you back to this page: .

The second step to backing up a disc is to write the image created in the fist step to a blank disc. Here you can also choose to delete the intermediate files after burning is finished. Pressing Next > lets you choose the device where an empty disc is inserted:

Once you have selected the desired device, you are asked the location and the type of the image that you created in Step 1.

Once you insert a blank CD in the device you have already selected, and the image file (.sdi or .ccd) on your hard drive, you can choose a write method (or leave it as default), and press Next to burn your disc. When the progress finishes, you can Exit the program, or Continue to back up or create another disc.

To burn data:

1. Insert a disc into the drive, if you have not done it yet. Click Refresh. Select a burner from the list (the one you have inserted disc in).

2. Click Next to continue.

3. Select a type of the file system. The default file system type is ISO9660 + Joliet extensions. Other available file systems are ISO 9660 Level 1, ISO 9660 Level 2 and UDF.

4. Click Next to continue. Outlook 15 39.

5. If you need to create a bootable disc, select the appropriate checkbox and specify the required information.

6. Click Next to continue.

7. Create a list of files and directories to burn using the drag-and-drop method.

Note: The default disc label is New. To change a disc label, either right-click the disc root and select Rename, or click the disc root and then click F2.

8. Click Next to continue.

9. Select a burning mode and if needed enable Test mode and/or the Verify written data option.

Note: Test mode performs all steps of burning with a low-power laser without actually writing data. Therefore, it allows for error checking and prevents damage of a media.

The Verify written data option ensures that data has been written properly. It launches verification process right after disc burning.

10. Click Next to continue.

11. If needed, select the Send optimum power calibration (OPC) checkbox to provide higher quality burning.

Specify the desired speed from the list of supported burning speeds.

You can also enable new burn sessions on this disc later by clicking Create multisession disc.

12. Click Next to continue.

13. Review the Options Summary page and make sure all options are correct. Click Back to make any changes on previous pages.

14. Click Next to continue.

15. Wait until the burning process is completed.

16. When burning is completed, you can save the log if needed.

Note: Click Save Log to save the current operation log. If there are any burning problems, use the Send Report options to send a failed operation log to the support team.

17. Click Finish to exit the wizard.
