Viewers of Family Fortunes were left in hysterics after the ITV quiz show featured a fairly prominent mis-spelling in an on-screen graphic.

The episode, which aired on Sunday (4 October), saw two families be asked to guess the most popular responses for the category 'favourite superpowers'.

Contestant Michelle Egan was the first to buzz in, giving the answer: 'To be invisible.'

Presenter Gino D'Acampo was quick to congratulate her, because 'Invisibility' was indeed the top-scoring answer.

Or rather, it should have been – Family Fortunes Get snipping tool. viewers were instead informed, via the familiar on-screen chart, that the top answer was in fact 'Invisiblity'.

People at home were quick to pounce on the error, with many describing their surprise and amusement on social media.

'Wish the superpower was spelling!' joked one commenter.

Another wrote that they were 'irrationally angry' that the word had been spelled incorrectly.
